Greek Meatball Appetizers

  • 2 pounds ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 8 ounces frozen spinach (thawed and squeeze dried)
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon zest
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Tzatziki sauce for dipping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Place all meatball ingredients (except olive oil) in a large bowl and mix until thoroughly combined

Shape into 1 inch round side meatballs

Add olive oil to large skillets and brown meatballs on all sides

Remove browned meatballs and place them on a baking sheet and place into preheated oven for 10 mins

Remove meatballs from oven and serve them in a bowl with appetizer picks and chilled tzatziki
