Apple Cheese Bake
- Vegetable Cooking spray
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
- 8 cooking apples, unpeeled, cored, and cut into 8 wedges
- 1/2 cup granola cereal
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons butter, or margarine, softened
- 1-1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded, cheddar cheese
Coat a 15x10x1-inch jellyroll pan with cooking spray.
Combine honey and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Add apple wedges; stir gently to coat. Drain and arrange in jellyroll pan.
Combine cereal and next 3 ingredients, stirring with a fork until crumbly; sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
Sprinkle evenly with cheese; bake 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
Makes 12 servings
