Baked Garlic
- Garlic Heads
- Butter
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- Olive Oil
- Crusty French Bread
- Goat cheese
Set the garlic heads in a baking dish, using 1 head per person, and top each with 1 tablespoon butter.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
Place in a preheated 250 degree oven for 30 minutes, then baste and add just enough water to fill the pan bottom.
Cover and bake another 1-1 1/2 hours or until the cloves are tender.
Serve with fresh crusty bread and a good goat cheese of choice.
Each person squeezes the soft garlic out of its skin and spreads on the bread (with or without the cheese).
