Is it any surprise? Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday around here! The food, the smells, the family time… the day off! (Well, except for whoever is cooking!) Don’t even ask me what my favorite dish is… I can’t choose!
But, a top favorite is The Delicious Orchards Stuffing Recipe from the 100th Anniversary Cookbook!
Such a classic! The recipe makes 2 servings, but who is really cooking for 2 on Thanksgiving? However, it’s easy enough to double/triple/etc!
1.5 c. chicken broth
1/3 c. EVOO or butter (I use butter!)
1 c. onion, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
1 container D.O. Croutons (THE BEST AROUND! They are made from D.O.’s white, English muffin, whole wheat, pumpernickel & cheese bread.)
Bring broth, butter, onions and celery to a boil in saucepan. Turn off heat, add croutons & mix thoroughly. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes and serve. May place in a large serving dish and bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes to develop a golden crust. (Easy enough to prep ahead early in the day and pop in the oven a little before dinner is served!)

And of course, Happy Thanksgiving!
