It’s officially spring over here! These warmer spring days (and I mean, I’m happy about this 40 degree weather!) mean longer walks outside, more time to play at parks with the little ones, and time to start coming out of hibernation mode and into healthier habits!
We can officially start talking about St. Patrick’s Day! March is here! With little ones around the house now, I’m finally embracing each season and the holidays and celebrations that they bring. So yesterday we switched out the winter wreath for yellow flowers and are now anticipating the luck of the Irish… even though we’re not Irish! 😉
Avocados! Spread some on toast with eggs for breakfast, top your lunch salad with a few slices, or chop and use for guacamole… these are a just a few reasons why avocados are such a versatile fruit around our house. And did I mention it’s an easy finger food for the baby to eat, too?!
It’s easy to fall into a mid-winter rut for snacks and dinners. Sometimes I just feel like I’m on autopilot, rotating through the same foods every couple days. But trying to include seasonal produce into my meal planning is one way that I can challenge myself to keep things interesting (and healthy!) for the whole household.
